This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate efficient fluid transfer. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents circulating fluid contact with the shaft, while a bronze shaft sleeve provides durability. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber components form the mechanical seal to maintain fluid containment. This assembly handles operating pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings located on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while flush seal line taps provide the option to integrate a filter to protect the seal from particulates.
Powered by a 60 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, this assembly operates at 3450 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding. The motor connects to a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, and the pump maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
