This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents fluid contact with the pump shaft, paired with a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components manages internal fluid containment, operating at a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring.
Powering the assembly is a 10 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, connected via a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
