This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The construction utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. Protection is provided by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Rated for 125 PSI operation without a wear ring, the pump utilizes flush seal line taps to support internal component maintenance.
The motor is a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
