This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components for sealing performance. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided, and the unit maintains a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding for protection against electrical discharge, powered by a 380-460V 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
