This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve covers the shaft, while the dry shaft design ensures no contact occurs between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal incorporates a silicon-carbide seat with EPT rubber components. This pump configuration maintains pressure ratings up to 125 PSI.
The assembly operates with a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, Aegis grounding, and a 208V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
