This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The rotating assembly comprises a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This construction incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Sealing is performed by a mechanical seal with ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
The pump integrates a 7.5 HP premium efficiency PMAC motor in a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
