This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve over a stainless steel shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal provides fluid containment, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. The pump utilizes a center-line discharge for air venting and is engineered with integrally cast mounting feet for structural support.
Powering this unit is a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that runs at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, operating on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
