This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction connection and a 3" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a cast iron casing with a bronze wear ring and a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It uses a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal utilizes a tungsten carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and buna rubber, with a temperature rating of 225°F. The casing is equipped with pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
This pump is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure, configured for 230-460/60/3 electrical service. The motor operates at 1750 RPM on a NEMA 213 T-frame and includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. The pump connects to the motor using a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The entire assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan. This unit meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and has a DOE PEI value of 0.91. It is rated for a 40°C ambient environment and supports across-the-line starting.
