This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet. It utilizes a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve positioned over a stainless steel shaft. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Internal components include a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F service. The casing is engineered for 125 PSI pressure and incorporates a replaceable wear ring for maintenance.
The assembly operates with a 2 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and operates on 200-230V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
