This end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a dynamically balanced bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact with the circulating fluid. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber provides fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The design also integrates a replaceable wear ring at the suction and discharge connections, allowing for servicing without disturbing the system piping. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a bottom drain port, facilitate routine maintenance.
Powered by a 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
