This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic for the seat half and EPT for rubber components. This construction supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The center-line discharge configuration allows for air venting, while the unit construction allows for servicing without the disturbance of connected system piping.
The pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured without a fused disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
