This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction utilizing a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly is engineered for a 125 PSI pressure rating and includes gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the casing bottom. The pump allows for servicing without disrupting system piping, and the impeller is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3.
The 2 HP premium efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and receives power from a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect, and drive fusing at a 5kA SCCR and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
