This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design to protect internal components from circulating fluid contact and includes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided, and the assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI. An easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve facilitates field maintenance.
The assembly integrates a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
