This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, complemented by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, a mechanical seal is integrated with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. This assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring to improve operational longevity. The construction allows for service without removing system piping, and the unit includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
