This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast center-line discharge and mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI G6.3 standards and utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve in a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of ceramic seats with EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. This construction allows for maintenance and servicing without disturbing the connected system piping.
The system utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, receiving 200-230V 3PH power, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
