This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction, which isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid through a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure containment, the assembly is rated at 125 PSI. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components to provide sealing at the shaft assembly. This construction enables maintenance of the pump and shaft sleeve without disruption to the system piping.
This unit operates with a 40 HP premium efficiency motor, ODP enclosure, 3450 RPM speed, and Aegis grounding on a 200-230V 3PH power supply, reaching a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
