This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The design utilizes a dry shaft that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. This assembly incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. Standard configuration includes flush seal line taps to protect the seal from non-condensable particles and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
The pump is powered by a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis Grounding and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
