This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid circulation. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the fluid and the pump shaft, supporting pressure ratings up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber seals ensures operational integrity during fluid transfer. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided as standard to allow for system monitoring.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the pump receives power through a 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
