This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and center-line discharge. The unit utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly incorporates a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber components and operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a bottom casing drain port, allow for system monitoring and maintenance.
This pump assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical input, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
