This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance. It utilizes a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly incorporates EPT rubber and ceramic seat halves, providing operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump setup allows for service without disturbing connected piping and utilizes center-line discharge for air venting.
This unit operates with a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
