This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that isolates the circulating fluid from the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the mechanical seal comprises a silicon-carbide seat paired with EPT rubber components, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. This pump construction supports system maintenance by allowing access to internal components without disturbing the system piping.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP with premium efficiency, a TEFC enclosure, a speed of 1750 RPM, and integrated Aegis grounding, functioning on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
