This centrifugal end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve installed over a stainless steel shaft. The construction incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This configuration supports operation at 125 PSI and integrates a replaceable wear ring for maintenance. The center-line discharge casing facilitates air venting, and the system design allows for service without disturbing the connected piping.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis shaft grounding within a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
