This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal, constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, supports pressure limits up to 125 PSI. Flush seal line taps are provided for filter installation, and suction and discharge connections integrate pressure tappings as a standard component.
The pump operates with a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
