This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is provided by a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, capable of handling operating temperatures up to 250°F. The unit supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI when configured without a wear ring.
The pump utilizes a 50 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC, 3450 RPM, Aegis Grounding motor operating on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
