This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and a 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump construction includes a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The assembly employs a dry shaft design to prevent the circulating fluid from coming into contact with the shaft during operation.
This pump is powered by a 40 HP WEG TEFC NEMA T-frame motor, size 324, which operates at 1750 RPM. The system uses a Woods coupler and is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It is configured for 230-460/60/3 power with an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. This unit is rated for 40°C ambient conditions and has a PEI of 0.94.
