This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal is constructed with a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, allowing for operation in clean water at temperatures up to 250°F. Gauge ports are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is configured with a NEMA 145 T-frame motor for 60Hz power supply. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor. This unit has a PEI value of 0.88.
