This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump for clean water applications features a cast iron casing with 5" suction and 4" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a stainless steel shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a bronze wear ring and a mechanical seal constructed with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°F. The casing design includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 30 HP, 230-460/60/3PH Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is a T-frame style NEMA 286 frame that meets NEMA premium efficiency standards with a PEI value of 0.97. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and the bearing frame features greasable bearings. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, connecting to the motor via a Woods flexible coupler. The system is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
