This end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate a dry shaft design that operates up to 125 PSI. A mechanical seal constructed with ceramic and EPT components seals the unit. The pump casing integrates center-line discharge for air venting and includes ports for suction and discharge pressure gauges.
The motor provides 40 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH; the DOE PEI rating is 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
