This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally cast mounting foot to provide stable support. The hydraulic assembly integrates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 along with a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes silicon-carbide seat halves with EPT elastomers for thermal management up to 250°F. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, and the unit supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
