This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet. The rotating assembly incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This construction integrates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components maintains fluid containment, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. The pump casing integrates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing.
The assembly utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
