This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design, where a stainless steel shaft is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to prevent contact with the circulating fluid. Sealing is managed by an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal rated for 250°F. The construction accommodates a 125 PSI pressure rating and provides gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing to facilitate maintenance.
The pump operates with a 50 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis Grounding and utilizing 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
