This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design preventing contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve covers the shaft, while a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal manages pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. The volute provides center-line discharge for air venting, and the construction allows maintenance without disturbing the system piping.
Power is provided by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
