This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic and EPT components manages pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. The pump assembly allows for service without disturbing the existing system piping and incorporates self-flushing seal lines for operational consistency.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the pump operates at 1750 RPM and includes Aegis grounding, a 208V / 3PH power supply, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
