This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, and the configuration allows for maintenance without disturbing the system piping.
This unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 256 T-frame. The motor supports a 230-460/60/3 power supply and meets premium efficiency standards with integrated AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler for the drive connection. The bearing housing contains sealed-for-life ball bearings, and the unit has a DOE PEI value of 0.88.
