This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 5" suction and 4" discharge port. The internal assembly includes an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The unit utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber seals the assembly. It is rated for fluid temperatures up to 250°F and includes flush seal line taps for optional particle filtration. The pump incorporates ANSI Class 125 flanges and a bronze wear ring. The rear pullout design permits servicing without disconnecting system piping, while the top center line discharge facilitates piping layouts.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP motor. The motor is housed in an ODP enclosure with a drip cover and follows the 256 JM frame style with feet. Electrical requirements are 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH. The system includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. This unit has a DOE pump energy index (PEI) of 0.97. The motor is manufactured by Baldor and utilizes across the line starting. The assembly is rated for a 40°C ambient environment.
