This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a stainless steel impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is provided by a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This construction accommodates pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are integrated into both the suction and discharge connections to allow for monitoring.
The pump assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
