This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft construction to prevent circulating fluid contact. The pump assembly employs a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring, and the casing construction handles pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The assembly is powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
