This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a bronze impeller. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft fitted with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve in a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the internal shaft components. The mechanical seal integrates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. These components reside within a bearing housing containing permanently lubricated ball bearings, allowing for service without removing connected piping.
The 30 HP premium efficiency motor utilizes a TEFC enclosure and operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, accepting 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
