This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge configuration for positive air venting. The unit incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve in a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Pressure tappings are included at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. The pump is constructed with a mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, and the assembly is rated for 125 PSI operation while incorporating a bronze wear ring.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the system incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
