This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The unit integrates a mechanical seal consisting of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps allow for the installation of external filters to protect the seal.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, drawing power from a 200-230V 3PH supply. The DOE PEI rating is 0.49. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
