This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which isolates the shaft from circulating fluids through a dry shaft configuration. Rated for 125 PSI, the assembly utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The volute includes center-line discharge for air venting and pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
