This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly. The mechanical seal utilizes an EPT rubber component with a ceramic seat half, supporting pressure operations up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. This configuration employs flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation, and pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. Parallel pumping and multi-pump control are supported through this system. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
