This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and utilizes a dry shaft arrangement to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber manages fluid containment during operation. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system conditions, while flush seal line taps accommodate external filtration if necessary.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency motor with an ODP enclosure that operates at 3450 RPM. This motor integrates Aegis grounding and runs on 200-230V / 3PH power, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
