This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The construction utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft, paired with a bronze shaft sleeve. Fluid containment is managed by a mechanical seal with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. This configuration allows for field maintenance through a slip-on shaft sleeve and provides standard pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
