This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Sealing occurs through a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber components, rated for 125 PSI operation in the absence of a wear ring. Pressure tappings for gauge ports occupy the suction and discharge connections, while flush seal line taps allow for the connection of filtration components.
The 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.51. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
