This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent circulating fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Rated for 125 PSI, the assembly integrates a wear ring and a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic and EPT rubber. Hydraulic components are dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. This configuration facilitates maintenance by allowing the bearing housing and mechanical seal to be serviced without disturbing the surrounding system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, powered by 380-460V 3PH electrical supply; the DOE PEI rating is 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
