This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 5" suction and a 4" discharge, both configured with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a slip-on bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250°F. The pump casing is equipped with flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system maintenance and monitoring.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure, a drip cover, and AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor is built on a 286 JM frame with feet and conforms to NEMA standards. Power requirements are 230-460V/60Hz/3PH with across-the-line starting. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.92 and is configured for counter-clockwise rotation.
