This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT components provides fluid containment, allowing for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. The assembly is engineered to allow maintenance of the bearing housing and mechanical seal without disturbing the system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
