This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally balanced bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This pump utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. The center-line discharge casing configuration allows for positive air venting, and the unit integrates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.43. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
