This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The hydraulic components include a bronze wear ring and an impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction and flush seal line taps to protect the shaft and seal. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor TEFC motor mounted on a NEMA 256 T-frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460/60/3 PH with across the line starting and a 40°C ambient rating. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and is connected to the motor via a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This model maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.93 and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55.
